Engineering, Furnish, and Installation (EF&I)

Engineering, Furnish, and Installation (EF&I) provides a customized installation package which can include facilities engineering, data and premise cabling, facility infrastructure, and furnishing of all necessary materials to install equipment at your location. Along with other life cycle services, Engineering, Furnish, and Installation will help accelerate your deployment, realize value faster, and maximize your return on investment (ROI).

Service Descriptions & Benefits

  • Engineering Support – PICS Telecom International's EF&I engineering service can provide site surveys, detailed installation documentations, bill of material specifications, and material ordering for the targeted installation work. This will reduce the risk of error for equipment installation by leveraging PICS' consistent, quality delivery process and scalability.
  • Furnish Service – PICS Telecom International's EF&I furnish service can provide installation materials ordering, tracking, and shipping, as well as procurement process management. This will speed up the rollout of innovative and new ventures, and accelerate deployment of new services and applications for a shorter time-to-revenue.
  • Installation Service - PICS Telecom International's installers perform installation of the equipment per your requirements and in a way that is consistent with the OEM's hardware installation requirements. This will achieve deployment of complex products and technologies efficiently with fewer complications and shorten the interval between network installation and revenue generation on the network.
  • Project Management – PICS Telecom International will assign a project manager to serve as a single point of contact to assist you with the administration and management of service deliverables. This will reduce the risk to your project by engaging experienced project management capabilities to ensure that PICS' service deliverables are delivered on time and meet agreed upon expectations.

Additional Services

With EF&I engineering, a site survey is required. Site engineering requirements are also determined for the installation of equipment wiring, power, and cables. The facility engineers will review your network design documentation, equipment lists, and software configurations to verify that the proposed installation design meets your requirements for equipment connectivity.

PICS Telecom International will also prepare a bill of materials, ensuring that all equipment, features, cables, power cords, and other items required to complete the staging and installation portions of the project are included. Lastly, PICS' will complete the preliminary Method of Procedure (MOP) document that defines the step-by-step manner in which the installation will be undertaken.

Other services include rack & stack capabilities, software upgrades, quality assurance equipment audits and de-installations/removals.


Equipment Preparation

In preparation for your installation, PICS Telecom International will move networks components from your storage area to your installation location. PICS Telecom International will also unpack, inspect, and inventory the products to be installed.
