In celebration of World Environment Day 2026, we’re proud to announce the successful renewal of PICS Telecom’s Valpak Zero Waste to Landfill Certification, reaffirming our commitment to circular economy principles and responsible telecom lifecycle management.
Following an independent audit conducted on 27 April 2026, Valpak has certified that PICS Telecom’s Bristol (EMEA headquarters) site sends zero waste to landfill, with certification awarded from 27 April 2026 to 26 April 2028.

Key Audit Highlights – Delivering Measurable Impact
Between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026, PICS Telecom managed 379.67 tonnes of waste across its operations. The independent audit confirmed:
- 0% waste sent to landfill
- 20% reused (75.47 tonnes)
- 67% recycled (247.57 tonnes)
- 13% recovered for energy (47.5 tonnes)
- 87% combined reuse and recycling rate
These results maintain PICS Telecom’s consistently high performance, closely aligned with the previous year’s 88% reuse and recycling rate.
This achievement reflects the continued hard work behind our recycling programme and the waste management activities carried out across our UK premises. This certification is a testament to the strength of our processes and provides verified evidence that we handle our e-waste responsibly.

The audit also recognized PICS Telecom’s structured environmental governance and ongoing improvement initiatives, including:
- ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 certifications
- Enhanced waste tracking through a centralised mass-balance system
- Contractor audits to verify treatment routes
- Formalization of waste reduction KPIs aligned with ESG goals
- Progress toward an Environmental Permit to support future growth
