» Installation projects.

  • Full Engineering, Furnish & Install (EF&I) of Switches, DACS & Peripheral equipment through Multiple Verizon Business sites. Domestic and International. 
  •  projects will migrate traffic off of the failing PVGS NWKG by connecting to new VX routers VX1 & VX2.ATL01  
  • We are going to De-Grow the SPM that is specified in I-spec and ship circuit packs to KOP.
  • We are going to De-Grow the IWSPM specified in I-spec. We will have to remove the fibers that are going to Fiber Panel and to the Routers that are located now.
  • We are going to Rebuild the IW to a regular SPM. We will have to run new fibers to fiber panels and then run new fibers to the DACS. We will rebuild SPM using the existing frame in KOP we will use packs shipped from Irving TX.
  • Install 16 patch panels, 97 runs of Cat 6, 44 runs of fiber, install trunking cables from B12 to 107.14,.15. Install new fiber tray downspouts and cable managers. Perform basic continuity testing on each Cat 6 run, perform scope inspection of each fiber cable after installation. Label. 

» DeInstallation projects.

  • Mine all power and signal cable associated with GTD5 Lab environment
  • Remove overhead superstructure ( ladder rack, aux bar, angle iron)
  • Decom and palletize equipment
  • Fill holes in floor and broom sweep area
  • Provide COI to landlord
  • PICS Telecom to provide all supplies, pallets, boxes, wrap, etc. to facilitate the removal
  • De-install 13 DTEI Bays (Row E)
  • All work to be performed between 10 PM and 6AM
  • Shorten “Row D” by removing cable troughs and fiber duct and use those bridges to support aisle troughs in “Row E” that must remain to support “Row D” and “Row F”
  • Install(1) one 7’ 6” stanchion to support cable trough over D12
  • Install (4) Four 2” x 9” Wide cable racks in Row “E”
  • Install (6) six-channel clips, 8” split tubing, 12” Threaded rod and 7 7’ 6” stanchions
  • Remove Duct over Row E
  • Mine power cable to PDC
  • Remove all inter bay cabling
  • Cut and coil cables at the top of the rack
  • Load truck for Rochester at 6 AM to avoid conflicts with other tenants.
  • Fill anchor holes
  • Broom sweep and prepare site for installation of new gear

» Special Projects 

  • Multiple crews working simultaneously by region.
  • Review each location with an on site manager/NIT before removal
  • De-Install process
  • Call NOC and notify them PICS is in the pop to remove equipment
  • Verify with NOC that there are not any alarms present.
  • Check for damage to equipment prior to de-install
  • Check for obvious equipment card shortages
  • Verify rack number ( from installation spec)
  • Verify all power is shut down at Breaker and no power present at equipment
  • vii. Verify all alarm leads removed
  • viii. Disconnect and tape or heat shrink connectors on power leads at bay
  • Disconnect all-fiber jumper, ensure labeling stays intact for distant end connection.
  • Remove and tape ground connections to equipment if any.
  • Make sure there are not any fiber jumpers from other equipment hanging loose or that can be snagged when removing equipment.
  • xii. Remove equipment from Bay
  • xiii. Secure any loose cables or fiber jumpers so they are not a safety risk or from damage.
  • xiv. Call NOC to advise you are finished and to verify there are no new alarms present.
  • We are providing a white glove service to pack and ship the equipment to limit any damage
  • Given the value of the equipment; having the highest method of handling and shipping.
