Telecom Network Waste Hierarchy

Telecom Network Waste Hierarchy

In 1987, the United Nations Brundtland Commission defined sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

To date, PICS Telecom is upholding that statement by developing the telecom industry’s circular economy. PICS achieves this through the reuse of network hardware as well as providing a comprehensive circular service suite that identifies and takes action on three pillars of the waste hierarchy model, Re-use, Recycle and Recover. Providing these services, PICS Telecom consistently provides redundant and/or surplus network equipment with a second life, doing so, developing the circular economy.

PICS Telecom provides comprehensive, transparent Recovery, Re-use, and Recycling programs within its in-house facilities, that consistently provide PICS partners with huge cost savings whilst collaborating to help reduce their environmental footprint.

When conducting any cost/benefit analysis, we must look at where and how we attribute value. Following this,  we monitor the environmental impact our decisions create.
