We are expanding our UK operations and looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operative to support daily logistics, equipment handling, and repair operations at our Bristol facility.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative based in Reading, you’ll carry out a variety of warehouse tasks, including goods receipt, inventory validation, handling legacy telecom infrastructure, and safely preparing products for reuse, resale, or responsible recycling.

You’ll play a key part in helping achieve departmental objectives such as order accuracy, sustainability compliance, and streamlined logistics hand-offs — all critical to supporting our customers’ network upgrades and decommissioning efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pack refurbished telecom equipment using correct materials (e.g., anti-static bags, protective foam).
  • Follow SKU-specific packing requirements, including accessories, documentation, and labels.
  • Accurately pack customer orders to meet bespoke client specifications.
  • Attach serial numbers and asset tags with precision and traceability.
  • Prepare orders for dispatch through platforms such as DHL, UPS, and other couriers.
  • Ensure all packaging meets company standards and customer expectations for resale or redeployment.
  • Maintain high levels of quality and accuracy in all packing and dispatch activities.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Basic IT and data entry skills.
  • Understanding of product condition grading (e.g., Grade A, B).
  • Awareness of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety and handling procedures.
  • Competent in manual handling of a variety of telecoms equipment.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and company guidelines.
  • Use of handheld scanning devices and basic barcode systems.
  • Familiarity with stock control processes and inventory systems.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations in line with 5S principles.
  • Consistently follow health & safety and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and consistency when updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Aim to maintain ≥98% stock accuracy during internal audits.
  • Confident interpreting and using refurbishment product data, such as test results and condition codes.
  • Handle sensitive and valuable telecoms equipment responsibly and with care.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments for smooth workflow.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with WMS or stock tracking software.
  • Previous experience in a refurbishment or telecoms distribution environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve minor issues related to packing or equipment handling

Working Pattern:

Monday – Friday, 8.00 am – 4.45 pm, 32 hr week
